How this comparison was made

Where Bynn and Inscribe differ

Inscribe describes itself as an agentic document fraud detection platform built for financial services, combining forensic, network, semantic, perceptual and public-data signals and reasoning across an entire application. Bynn document fraud detection examines how documents and images were made, reasons across the evidence with specialist agents and collects missing documents automatically, for banking and insurance. This page sets the two side by side on what each examines, what each returns and how each is bought.

  • Documents only, or documents and images

Inscribe states it detects forged, altered, reused and AI-generated documents; detection of standalone images, video or audio is not stated in the public materials we reviewed. Bynn examines documents and, as separate questions, photos for AI generation and localized edits.314

  • Where each is focused

Inscribe positions its product for US compliance and regulatory standards, and its own comparison article says its public examples emphasise US financial documents. Bynn's document forensics read how a file was built, so the analysis works across formats and languages, and it serves both banking and insurance.714

  • Collection in beta, or in the workflow

Inscribe's Collect requests documents from applicants and is marked Beta in its API documentation, enabled per account. Bynn's AI document collection requests and chases documents in the recipient's language and runs in the same workflow as forensics and fraud reasoning.814

  • A detection layer, or detection with identity

Inscribe states it is a document fraud detection layer, not a decisioning engine and not a general-purpose identity verification replacement. Bynn's document forensics sit in ZOREAL Verify beside identity verification: ID checks, face match and liveness in an onboarding flow.41416

Inscribe vs Bynn, side by side

Inscribe and Bynn document fraud detection compared on focus, checks, AI-generated content, reasoning, collection, integration, security and pricing, from Inscribe's public materials read on 17 October 2026 and Bynn's own pages.
InscribeBynn
What it isAn agentic document fraud detection platform built for financial services, per Inscribe, naming banks, credit unions, lenders and fintechs as its primary users.23Document fraud detection for banking and insurance: document forensics, image-authenticity models, agentic fraud reasoning and AI document collection in one workflow. The forensics are part of ZOREAL Verify, including PDFChecker.1416
What is examinedForensic, network, semantic, perceptual, public-data and custom signals. The forensic layer reviews fonts, metadata and file history; the perceptual layer examines documents at the pixel level; the network layer looks for reused templates and repeat patterns across what Inscribe describes as millions of applications.12Document forensics examines how a file was made, not only what it says: file structure, metadata and the traces left by editing software; fonts, spacing and graphics that do not match across fields; embedded digital signatures and whether content changed after signing; and the type of document, so the right checks apply.14
Documents and mediaBank statements, pay stubs, tax documents, invoices, utility bills, IDs and other financial and identity documents; forged, altered, reused and AI-generated documents. Standalone images, video or audio are not stated in the public materials we reviewed. Uploads up to 50 MB and PDFs up to 350 pages.349PDFs and document images such as bank statements, payslips, invoices, bills, reports and certificates, along with photos submitted as evidence. Because the evidence lies in the file's construction, the analysis works across formats and languages. Image-authenticity models treat generation and editing as separate questions: fully AI-generated images detected from the pixels without relying on watermarks, localized edits within a genuine photo, face swaps in images and video, and synthesized voices in audio.14
Reasoning across a caseInscribe states it reasons across an entire application, connecting signals across documents, and that its Assistant can explain what it found and answer follow-up questions.1Agentic fraud reasoning: an orchestrator coordinates specialist agents, in a fixed order or chosen for the evidence in front of it, and combines their findings into one assessment with its reasons. The plan it follows can be reviewed and changed.14
Document collectionCollect requests documents from applicants; Inscribe's API documentation marks it as Beta, enabled per account.8AI document collection requests what is needed, sends reminders in the recipient's language, identifies each document as it arrives and extracts its key fields, then delivers structured output to the system that needs it.14
IntegrationWeb app, API or partner integrations with Alloy, Taktile and Oscilar. Webhooks signed with HMAC SHA256; the API is rate limited to 300 requests per IP address per two minutes by default, with a higher tier on request.241011The checks run through the Bynn platform today and connect to existing systems through APIs and workflows. The integrated ZOREAL Verify dashboard is coming soon.1416
Security statedInscribe states it is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified, and lists role-based access, audit logs and data encryption. Hosting region and data residency are not stated in the public materials we reviewed.17ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified by an accredited certification body, and a SOC 2 report from an independent auditor, monitored continuously, per Bynn's Trust Center and Data Processing Addendum. Controls are mapped to ISO/IEC 42001:2023: compliant, not certified.1718
Speed statedIn an AWS blog post co-written with Inscribe, it states it detects tampered, fabricated and AI-generated financial documents in under 90 seconds; methodology not stated.12Not published on bynn.com as of October 2026.14
PricingBase and Premium plans with custom pricing: Base on document volume, Premium on volume and advanced feature needs; no amounts published as of October 2026. Inscribe's own comparison article describes per-document pricing with unlimited users and volume discounts. A four-week pilot on the buyer's own documents.56No published price list. Scope, timelines, service levels and commercial terms are agreed for each engagement; Bynn does not publish generic delivery promises.15

Where Bynn and Inscribe hold the same bar

Both look past what a document says to how it was made. Inscribe's forensic layer reviews fonts, metadata and file history and its perceptual layer works at the pixel level; Bynn's document forensics examine file structure, metadata, editing traces, fonts and graphics, and embedded signatures.

Both detect AI-generated documents, reason across the documents in a case rather than one file at a time, and give a reviewer findings with an explanation rather than a bare score. Both can request documents from the applicant, and both are reached through an API.

Neither publishes an amount. Inscribe prices by document volume on request; Bynn agrees terms for each engagement.

Choosing between Inscribe and Bynn

Both have real strengths. These are the situations each one's public materials point to.

  • You want collection, forensics and fraud reasoning running as one autonomous workflow
  • You want document forensics and identity verification within ZOREAL Verify

Can Inscribe detect AI-generated images, not just documents?

How this comparison was made

  • Every statement about the vendor comes from its own public materials or a marketplace listing, recorded in a claim register with the source address, a supporting excerpt and the date it was read.
  • Where those materials say nothing about a topic, the page says it is not stated in the public materials we reviewed. It never infers a gap.
  • Prices are quoted as published, with their qualifiers. Where no price is published, the page says so.
  • Nothing is scored or ranked, and no review or rating markup is used. Bynn's side comes from Bynn's own published pages, listed with the sources.
